Among many other things, my father taught me the importance and value of quality tools and how to use them – including pocket knives. He would always take the time to teach me how to do whatever he was working on and I have countless fond memories of working on projects with him.

My father passed away in 1994, one of my earliest recollections was him telling a story about him having a pocket knife as a boy and potentially getting in trouble for it. He always carried a pocket knife as long as I can remember as have I. That in part at least is why I have carried a pocket knife for most of my life, even when I had to have it approved due to where I worked to ensure it would not be designated as a weapon.

Recently been through a divorce that has led me to moving back in with my dad who has been there for me whenever i need him throughout my whole life. He was the person that encouraged my enjoyment of knives and bushcraft from i was a little kid and couldn’t have asked for a better father and now grandfather to my two kids!
