My dad taught me to provide for my family. I honestly don’t remember him complaining once about work even though I know we struggled.

My father thought me respect, fishing, gardening, that work deserve reward and that life is to be enjoyed.

My Dad is my hero! He has always been there for me and my younger brother. He has taught me how to fish, hunt, work, and how to be a gentleman! There is NO description as to what my Dad means to me!!

My Dad was a loving, dedicated, hard working man who always supported his children emotionally, financially and spiritually. He provided us an example to live by. He overcame many obstacles in life and as I have grown older I have sought to live my life in the way that he always did. He was a member of "America’s Greatest Generation " and I honor their legacy.

Nothing I became my own man without him

Dads are usually underappreciated for their role in the family. While Mom often takes the lead of nurturing young ones, it is typically the Dad that takes over to mold and shape his offspring with skills like hiking, camping, fishing, hunting and everything else in between. My Dad taught me to be a contributor to society, to work hard to get what you want, to be mindful of others and caring. While there was some discipline sprinkled in here and there, I must say it was always deserved. I was a kid finding my way, and Dad corrected me whenever it was necessary. Thanks, Dad. You are no longer with us, but you are in our memories. I hope that one day I too will be so remembered.

I lost my dad to cancer in 2002. He worked hard all of his life up until he could not fight that heinous disease any more. He would have been happy with ant one of your knives, especially an auto knife.

My father meant everything to me since he raised me because he was left with a small child. I learned to be self sufficient, practical and have a love for the outdoors. My biological father passed away in March, and my stepfather, who always treated me like his own son, is battling cancer. To see the strongest man I’ve ever known fighting for his life is terrifying.

My father and my mother had gotten divorced when I was five, I saw my dad all the time and he met and fell in love with my now stepmother. When I was fifteen he was getting ready to be married and he saw me crying. I thought I was going to lose him to his new family. Without batting an eye he said, if I knew you felt this way I would never have thought about getting remarried. He was willing to give up his happiness for me. He’s a very good person and a great father.

I had the best dad. He had 3 girls a wife, surrounded by women. He always put himself last. He taught us to be self sufficient. I was his Tomboy, that’s when I started my love for knives. Unfortunately my father passed and his collection my sister sold without telling my other sister and I. My father took care of my mother with Alzheimer’s by himself. I know he has passed so he isn’t qualified. Just wanted to share how blessed we were to have such a wonderful example of the perfect father. Thank you.

Stability, guidance, support, encouragement, and always love. I’m now in my 50s and he’s in his 70s and knives remain a shared interest and constant topic of conversation.

My got me into being in the outdoors hunting and fishing, camping and now at 60 there’s no place I rather be.

My father is the reason I love knives, he taught me family has to support each other no matter what. He always told me to hard work will always pay off more than having fun and everything is possible with effort and hard work.

My dad died in 2006. I still want to call him and tell him stuff or ask his advice. I’d recommend an EDC button lock like the Elementum.

While some say “do as I say, not as I do,” he took it upon himself to do as he says, and practices what he preaches. His commitment to God, his family, his business and his community are the things that set him apart. We would all be better if we had dads like him.

Being a father can be difficult, but it’s the single most rewarding thing a man can do in his life. Seeing your children grow, learn, and follow in your footsteps is an experience that can’t be replicated any other way. My own father was not around as I was growing up. He has since then become a bigger part of my life, but I intend to be even more present and involved in my own children’s lives so they can have the childhood that I didn’t.

I think the best thing my Dad taught me is that we make mistakes, we’re human. I had a timid relationship with my Dad, growing up. He always seemed to be a bit distant. As adults, he lived with me the last 5 years of his life. I remember once moving a big wooden gate. As he grabbed one end, I went to grab the other. He looked at me and very sweetly said “be careful baby”. I was taken aback by his tenderness and at the same time a little angry! I thought, “Baby boy?!’ I’m a grown-ass man!” But I then I melted, and wondered where this tenderness was when I needed it as a young boy. I learned from that experience that we all make mistakes and there is always the possibility for change.

Anyone can be a father but mine chose to be a Dad. They adopted me 38 years ago and he is still one of my best friends and toughest critics. Two of his favorite knives I bought here, a Rustic gent for all day farm work and then a carbon and Damascus Chronic for Church. Dads make men by example I hope I am for my son what he’s been.

Being a dad is the best job in the world followed closely by being a granddad. Always be ther for them regardless of current emotions. You will be tried at some point but stay consistent and love them, show them that love and be certain to make them aware of sacrafices you made on their behalf. BE A HERO!!!
